I generally drink a regular old cup of tea with lemon or milk, but a London Fog Latte is lovely for an occasional treat! It's a bit of a project, more so than simply putting tea leaves into an infuser and boiling the kettle. But it's very delicious and worth the effort! Here's how I make mine:

London Fog Latte recipe

Loose leaf Earl Grey tea (I use Fortnum & Mason)

Lavender flowers (make sure they're edible ones)

Superfine sugar or simple syrup

Milk (I love Oatly full-fat oat milk, but use whatever you prefer. I think oat milk makes the best London Fog!)

Boiling water

Add about 1 tsp. of Earl Grey, plus 1/8 tsp. of lavender flowers to a tea infuser. Place in mug and pour boiling water over until the mug is about half full. Allow to steep 5 minutes. Add 1/2 tsp. superfine sugar or simple syrup and stir.

Steam enough milk to fill the other half of the mug. If you don't have a milk steamer, microwaving works well, too. Add steamed milk to tea.

It looks beautiful on Instagram to sprinkle lavender flowers over the finished product, but sprinkle at your own risk. It can be a bit annoying to drink around the flowers, but they do add to the aroma. A lot recipes call for vanilla, but I find it overpowers the tea.

Enjoy!
